While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week, we head overseas for Oktagon 67 from Třinec, Czech Republic for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Oktagon 67
Oktagon Flyweight Title Fight: Sam Creasey vs Beno Adamia
Card Start Time: Saturday (2/22), 12:00pm EST (Oktagon.tv)
The flyweight title fight this weekend out of the Czech Republic has kept a much closer line than I expected. Sam Creasey has all the makings of a big favorite here, but we’re getting him at a modest -180.
The first big advantage he should have is the ability to outpace Adamia on the feet. Creasey is crafty and throws a really nice jab, which provides a stark contrast to Adamia. His striking is more plodding and definitely involves at least a little wind up on his punches.
Perhaps the line has stayed close thanks to the wrestling of Adamia. However, Creasey provided plenty of confidence in his takedown defense when he won the belt against Aaron Aby. He not only used the fundementals to thwart the attack, but had a high-angle guillotine he mixed in as well.
With all those advantages, I’m loving this line for Saturday afternoon.
