It’s no great shock that Team Canada and Team USA are the two teams vying for the first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off Championship, as they were by far the favorites heading into the tournament. And after a contentious and memorable first meeting in the round-robin portion of the tournament, the rematch for all the marbles is highly anticipated.
Outside of taking their foot off the gas in their last game against Sweden, which was meaningless since they already had clinched a spot in the finals, the United States team has been steamrolling everyone else in this tournament, including Canada. And that was on Canada’s home ice in Montreal – tomorrow the United States will be the home team at Boston’s TD Garden. Getting the USA as a slight dog is a line I couldn’t pass up, despite being a Canadian.
