The first half of the parlay is a play on the road dogs, the Montreal Canadiens. Despite being on a hot streak and a better team than the Detroit Red Wings, we’re getting them as a dog on the moneyline. And the Red Wings aren’t even good at home, are in a massive slump, and are 0-2 against Montreal this season. The Habs at plus money is the play.
The finishing touch to this winning parlay is over 5.5 goals to find the back of the net in Hockeytown on Thursday night. Montreal is an average-scoring team, and Detroit is below average, yet both teams’ games this season end with over six goals being scored, on average. This includes both times they’ve played each other this season, which ended in 4-3 and 5-1 Montreal wins. And Montreal has been over 5.5 in two of their last three games and three of their last five.
