Miami (OH) RedHawks vs Ball State Cardinals
Start Time – 8:00 PM EST
The game I’ve settled on is the Ball State Cardinals hosting the Miami (OH) RedHawks. These two teams are only separated by one game in the Mid-American Conference standings (Miami is 3-1, Ball State 2-2). There are also two teams coming off wins last week and looking to keep the momentum going.
I’m going with the home team, Ball State, on the spread as my best bet for tomorrow. Currently the line is Ball State +12, which is too wide in my opinion. Other than non-conference road shellackings by Florida State and James Madison, the Cardinals haven’t lost by more than 12 in a game this season. My calculations, based on Football Reference’s Simple Rating and Ball State’s home-field advantage, have this game pegged at Ball State +6.
Miami is the better team and will probably win, but I think Ball State keeps the beating in the single digits for us.
