The NHL’s Eastern Conference was all chalk in the first round, as the top four teams have advanced to Round 2. But it wasn’t easy for the Boston Bruins, who finally got past the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night in overtime in Game 7. Now they have to play again tomorrow night in Florida. For my best bet for Monday (May 6th): NHL Predictions, I’ve got a player prop from that game.

Boston Bruins vs Florida Panthers

Start Time – 8:10 pm EST

There was no hangover for the Florida Panthers this year after their run to the Stanley Cup finals last season, as they are once again one of the top teams in the NHL this season. And they look primed to take it to the Boston Bruins in the second round.

Florida star Matthew Tkachuk had a down year by his standards this season, but he’s making up for it in the playoffs. He posted nine points over the team’s five first-round games against the Tampa Bay Lightning. And he put a lot of rubber on the net, with 21 shots over those games. I think he gets at least four shots on net on Monday against Boston – he topped 3.5 shots in four of the five playoff games he’s played this season.
