Jimmy Butler doesn’t care about the regular season. He cruises through the regular games in first gear, then kicks it up into overdrive once the playoffs tip off. So I’m often taking the Under on his points Totals, such as for Tuesday’s game against Golden State.
Butler is averaging 21.4 ppg for the season, which is pretty much par for the course for him for the regular season. He’s failed to score over 17 in two straight games and has only topped this 22.5-point projection once in his past five games and twice in his past eight games. I don’t see him lighting up the scoreboard tomorrow against the Warriors, a team he averages less than 22 points against over his career.
