FINALLY, the UFC is back, after an almost one-month “offseason”. The UFC Apex octagon hosts UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs Imavov this Saturday night, so it’s time for another winning DFS lineup. Here is my UFC Vegas 67 DraftKings lineup for the event, hopefully allowing us to start off 2023 on a winning note.

UFC Vegas 67 DraftKings Picks, Fantasy UFC
Umar Nurmagomedov – $9,300
We start things off with a famous last name (this one is an actual cousin of Khabib). Usman Nurmagomedov might be a little overpriced here, but he has proven in the past to be worth it, so who am I to say? His 107.3 fantasy point per fight average is tops on this card, and he’s never dipped below 105 over his three-fight UFC career. He’ll only have the striking and grappling and size and youth advantages on Saturday over Raoni Barcelos. So maybe he’s priced correctly after all.
Javid Basharat – $9,200
Ahhh, Javid Basharat – a personal favorite around these parts. ‘The Snow Leopard’ has been nothing short than impressive over his 13-0 MMA career, including his two fights in the UFC and one on Dana White’s Contender Series. Now he’s being fed a debuting UFC fighter in Mateus Mendonca. I’m predicting a finish for Basharat, and big points for us.
Dan Argueta – $8,600
Fighters who take a UFC fight on short notice (less than a month) only win 36% of the time. Not only is Nick Aguirre taking this fight against Dan Argueta on short notice, but it is also his UFC debut. We’ve got to fade Aguirre here. Plus, former LFA champion Dan Argueta is no slouch himself – I’d probably pick him to win here even minus the short notice factor.
Claudio Ribiero – $7,900
Abdul Razak Alhassan looks like he’s pretty much done, going 1-4 over his last five fights. In fact, he’s only won once since 2018. Saturday’s opponent, Claudio Ribiero, is also bigger than him, seven years younger, and has knocked out all 10 of his pro MMA victims. Not sure why we’re getting Ribiero at such an advantageous price point here, but I’ll take it.
Damon Jackson – $7,800
Unlike Abdul Razak Alhassan, Damon Jackson has been on a tear. He’s won four straight fights and six of seven, and has posted 100+ fantasy points in three of those last four fights. Dan Ige has lost three straight fights and has a questionable resume, to begin with. Let’s roll the dice on ‘Action’ Jackson to keep the good times rolling.
Jimmy Flick – $7,200
The Jimmy Flick vs Charles Johnson fight I have pegged at about a pick ’em fight, yet the odds, and Flick’s price, are nowhere near that. Once again, like in Jackson’s case, I’ll take it. All ‘The Brick’ Flick has done recently is submit four straight opponents, including a very tough Cody Durden in his UFC debut. That nabbed him 92.6 fantasy points. Let’s keep that energy this Saturday, Brick.
