Giannis Antetokoumpo has dominated this season, particularly the frontcourt of the Brooklyn Nets. Yes, the Nets did acquire big man Andre Drummond as part of the deal with Ben Simmons but I do not think that will be enough to slow down Giannis. Further, Giannis has scored 31 or more points in four of the last five games against the Nets. Additionally, over the last five games, the Nets are allowing 47.2 points per game inside the paint. In fact, in their first game since the All-Star break, the Nets allowed 54 points inside the paint to the Boston Celtics. I expect the dominance for Giannis to continue tonight against the Nets.
Kyrie Irving Points + Assists Over 29.5
Kyrie Irving is eligible to play tonight for the Nets since they are on the road. Irving will be pivotal tonight for the Nets as both Ben Simmons and more importantly, Kevin Durant continue to be out. In the last matchup against the Bucks, Irving scored 38 points on 56% shooting from the field. Despite having one of the best perimeter defenders in the league in Jrue Holiday, the Bucks have struggled to guard the point guard position. In fact, over the last 30 days, the Bucks are allowing opposing point guards to average 10.1 assists per contest. I expect Irving to be the primary ball-handler for the Nets tonight either looking to find open shooters or scoring the ball at will. Give me the Over on this player prop tonight.
Khris Middleton Over 19.5 Points
Khris Middleton is another player who has had success against the Nets over his career. But who isn’t having success against them lately? Middleton has scored 20 or more points in five straight games against the Nets. The attention that is given in attempting to slow down Gianni opens up plenty of opportunities for Middleton. The Nets defense overall is struggling and I do not expect it to improve tonight against a well-oiled machine like the Bucks. Give me Middleton to continue his 20 point-scoring streak against the Nets tonight!
