Utah Mammoth vs Philadelphia Flyers
Start Time: 4:00 PM EST
The Utah Mammoth make their lone visit to the City of Brotherly Love tomorrow, and it’s good timing on their part, as the Philadlephia Flyers are on a skid. Losers of three straight, the 3-8-4 Flyers find themselves alone in the basement of the NHL’s Metropolitan Division (the 9-5-0 Mammoth are second in the Central Division).
I was going to say that Philadelphia’s main problem is their offense, as they rank 30th in the league in goals for, but they aren’t much better at the other end of the ice, ranking 28th in goals allowed. Philly has been outscored by 21 goals in their 15 games this season. The Mammoth, meanwhile, have a powerhouse offense (sixth) and a mediocre D (22nd).
Playing at home isn’t much of an advantage for the Flyers, either, with their 2-3-3 mark at Xfinity Mobile Arena the sixth worst in the NHL. Meanwhile, the Mammoth’s 5-3-0 away mark is the sixth best in the league. Have I tipped my hand enough as to which team I’m picking to win this one?!
The Utah Mammoth on the moneyline is my best bet for Sunday.
