Montreal Canadiens vs Chicago Blackhawks
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The streak is over. Long live the streak. Montreal Canadiens captain and top-line center Nick Suzuki will be out of action for at least a couple of weeks with an upper-body injury. That means his Ironman streak of 546 consecutive games played will end tomorrow night in the Windy City.
On the bright side, Suzuki’s absence means we get a reduced moneyline on the Habs when they face the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night. Yes, I’m still in on Montreal, despite Suzuki being out, as well as their #1 goalie, Sam Montembeault, who has yet to suit up this season.
I’m still in on Montreal because the Blackhawks are a crummy hockey club, ranking 28th in goals for and 27th in goals allowed (at least they’re proportionately crummy at both ends). Montreal on the moneyline is my best bet for Friday.
