Now THIS is a proper UFC “numbered event” fight card. UFC 333 is a throwback to the good ol’ days, when the UFC cared about its product and its fans. Two title fights headline UFC 333, with a strong undercard leading up to them. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC 333, I’ve got your winner for the championship main event. Let’s go!

UFC 333: Volkanovski vs Evloev
Main Card Start Time: 2:00 PM EST
First, note the early start time since this event takes place in Abu Dhabi. Second, note the razor-thin main event for the UFC Featherweight Championship, with both the champion, Alexander Volkanovski, and his challenger, Movsar Evloev, available at even money depending on the book.
I’m going with the long-time champ, Volkanovski, to retain. There are concerns about the champ regarding his age (38) and wear and tear (two technical knockouts, courtesy of Islam Makhachev, in his past four fights). However, Evloev is not a big hitter or a finisher, and Volkanovski is a physically strong, technically proficient, exceptionally well-rounded fighter, while Evloev is grapple-or-bust.
UFC 333 Main Card Pick: Alexander Volkanovski ML (+100)
