American League Championship Series Daily Dingers for Sunday (Oct 18th): Best & Most Fun Home Run Bets
Tampa Bay Rays vs Cleveland Guardians
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
Tomorrow’s Game 5 starting pitchers are still unknown, with Friday’s rainout (and subsequent cancelation of Sunday’s day off) throwing a monkey wrench into each team’s pitching plans. Best guess is the visiting Tampa Bay Rays will go with Drew Rasmussen, and the home team Cleveland Guardians will deploy another bullpen day (which is wild to say for a playoff game, but that’s 2026 for you).
So for the home run swatters, I’m going back to Junior Caminero again, as he had a key hit in Game 4 and I figure he’s due to hit one out eventually. Teammate Richie Palacios had a great Game 4, and homered against the Guardians this season, so let’s take a flyer on him. As for Cleveland, I guess Jose Ramirez again? This isn’t a home run-hitting team.
Best Bets: Junior Caminero (+610), Richie Palacios (+1500), Jose Ramirez (+760)
2026 Playoffs Overall Record: 7-39 (15%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $54.00
Return on Investment: 1%
