Colby leaned on Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz’s rough history against ranked opponents, career marks of 7-20 against the top 25 and 1-11 against the top 10, while noting he has played Florida well, and Florida just hasn’t been a top-10 team. He also pointed to Florida giving up chunk plays even in its win over Auburn as a crack Missouri can exploit.
Ryan’s case was about buying low and selling high. Florida has been the most-upgraded team in the country by consensus this year, and Ryan argued that’s exactly the spot to fade them, calling Columbia one of the trickier road environments in the SEC.
