Colby made the history case first, noting it’s hard to blow this team out no matter how good Ohio State looks. Ryan had already called it a big number to give Iowa at home. Colby added that Ohio State still has problems to fix on defense, pointing to the 330 yards the Buckeyes gave up to Illinois by halftime before pulling away.
Nobody on the show thinks Iowa slows down Jeremiah Smith. He’s going to get his no matter who lines up across from him. But the guys still like Iowa’s ground game and defense to keep this from turning into a blowout, which is really the whole bet: not that Iowa wins, just that the Buckeyes don’t run away with it.
