Colby opened with the coach on the points, then backed it up with Dabo’s history against Miami specifically: a 5-2 record, and he believes the two losses were both one-score games.
The guys also credited Miami’s side of it. Miami’s quarterback is completing 89% of his passes and the Hurricanes are averaging 51.8 points a game. But Miami didn’t cover against Wake Forest, and Ryan pointed out the Hurricanes didn’t move the ball well in the second half of that game on the road either.
Ryan quizzed Colby on the last time Miami won in Death Valley, then answered it himself: 2010. Colby’s closing point was that Miami hasn’t played in an environment like this yet, calling it the first real test for the ‘Canes. He thinks Miami wins, just not by 16.5.
