Maybe, just maybe, I’m starting to pull the nose up out of my ridiculous daily best bet slump (thanks, Stanley Cup Playoffs). With two wins over the past three days, I’m getting the bankroll moving in the right direction. Carolina Hurricanes vs Montreal Canadiens
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Betting against “your” team is a win-win situation, I’ve learned. When your team wins, you’re happy that they won. When they lose, as the Montreal Canadiens did Monday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, you’re still happy because you won your bet. Win-win.
Apparently, the Habs failed to get the memo about home ice and the playoffs. It’s a GOOD thing to play at home, especially in the postseason. You’re actually supposed to win the games in front of your home fans. Instead, the Canadiens have gone 2-5 at the Bell Centre and 7-3 on the road during this playoff run.
This doesn’t bode well for tomorrow’s Game 4. Not only are the Carolina Hurricanes the superior team and dominated Game 3 (despite needing overtime to win), but this game is being played north of the border once more.
Montreal had great chances the past two games to take control of this series, but now I feel like that’s been lost. The Hurricanes on the moneyline is my best bet for Wednesday.
