Montreal Canadiens vs Carolina Hurricanes
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
One of my picks for a goal scorer for Game 2 lit the lamp in Game 1, and one of them didn’t. First, for the one who didn’t, which was a rarity for a Montreal Canadien player in their 6-2 romp on Thursday night.
That player would be the Canadiens’ captain, Nick Suzuki. Suzuki did have three helpers on Thursday, which is par for the course since he’s more of a playmaker than a goal scorer. However, he did get four shots on net, and with the amount of scoring chances he’s involved in, I think he could be due to score in Game 2.
Speaking of scoring chances, the Hurricanes’ Seth Jarvis was involved in many on Thursday night and managed to get a puck past Habs’ netminder Jakub Dobes. With 32 regular-season goals but only two in the playoffs thus far, it may be time for Jarvis to get on a hot streak and start stringing some goals together.
