Daily NBA Player Props – May 22nd
Keldon Johnson – Over 9.5 Points (-123)
Maybe this isn’t the sexy play you were looking for when you turn to a playoff series, but it might be one of the easiest to cash. Both Dylan Harper and De’Aaron Fox are both listed as questionable for this one. Even if both were to play, you have to imagine the amount is going to decrease. Meanwhile, Johnson already has hit this over in three of his last four and five of his last eight. He is a perfect 4-0 in that span when he’s played at least 20 minutes, which I expect to see here.
Chet Holmgren – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+112)
This did not come close to hitting in Game 2, but we’re going to double down on it here in Game 3. Holmgren has been good from beyond the arc these playoffs. He’s 6-4 against this line overall and is shooting 38.9% from deep across the full postseason. With accuracy like that, we don’t even need that many attempts. On the road with a little more pressure, I think he gets what we need.
Victor Wembanyama – Over 14.5 Rebounds (-102)
I keep suggesting this prop and it keeps hitting. There is no reason to get off of Wemby’s rebounding mark at this stage in the playoffs. He’s had at least 15 rebounds in six of his last eight games, and there is a god excuse for each of the misses as well. In one of them, he was ejected early after throwing an elbow. In the other, the Spurs were blowing the Timberwolves out and he played a reduced number of minutes. With a full game in front, he should keep the streak alive.
