Montreal Canadiens vs Carolina Hurricanes
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
As mentioned, Game 1 of the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes battling to see who makes it to the Stanley Cup Finals didn’t exactly go as planned. The Habs jumped on the undefeated-in-the-playoffs Canes on their home ice, spanking them 6-2. In the ongoing rest vs rust battle, rust definitely won out on Thursday night.
For the best home team in the NHL this season (the Canes were 29-10-2 in the regular season at home, 4-1 in the playoffs), can we really expect the Habs to win back-to-back games in Raleigh? I wouldn’t bet on it (more on that in a minute). Can we expect Carolina’s goalie, Frederik Andersen, who allowed 10 goals total in eight games, to let in six again tomorrow night? I wouldn’t bet on that, either.
I’m going with my head over my heart once more for Game 2. The Carolina Hurricanes on the moneyline is my best bet for Saturday.
