Montreal Canadiens vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Montreal Canadiens stole Game 1 in overtime from the heavily-favored Tampa Bay Lightning in their home barn on Sunday, 4-3. Juraj Slafkovsky was the Habs hero, scoring a hat trick on the power play, including the game-winner.
While Montreal’s leading scorer Cole Caufield didn’t light the lamp, he assisted on two goals and got a couple of pucks on the net. I think he’s too talented a goal scorer to get shut out again tomorrow, so Caufield is going in my parlay.
Utah Mammoth vs Vegas Golden Knights
Start Time: 9:30 PM EST
While most of the Vegas Golden Knights’ big guns were held off the scoreboard in their Game 1 win over the Utah Mammoth, Mark Stone was not one of them. The veteran winger scored on Sunday, giving him five goals over his last five games.
Can Stone keep his heater going tomorrow night in the desert? I don’t see why not, as Stone is an experienced playoff performer, finding the back of the net 11 times in the Golden Knights’ 2023 Stanley Cup run.
