Daily NBA Player Props – April 20th
Nikola Jokic – Over 10.5 Assists (+104)
If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. In Game 1, we jumped in on Jokic’s dimes and it cashed with ease. The line hasn’t moved and I like it again for all the same reasons. Firstly, the Timberwolves are tough on the defensive block with Rudy Gobert anchoring the defense. Additionally, Jokic is 8-2 against this prop in his last ten games. Look for him to be the distributor again on Monday.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker – Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+102)
The Hawks made it very clear in Game 1 that they are going to be shooting beyond the arc. They shot 37 three-pointers on Saturday and had four different players make at least three. One of such was Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who went 3-of-8 from deep. While that’s under this mark, he’s 5-3 against this mark in his last eight games. Each of the misses was by just one shot. With all the volume they’re getting from deep, I expect him to be able to cash this.
Dyson Daniels – Over 5.5 Assists (-105)
Speaking of guys who played distributor on Saturday, Dyson Daniels took charge of the Hawks’ offense and picked up 11 dimes. That marked the fourth time in five games that he has been above this mark. Despite that, his projection for Monday comes it at exactly half of what he had in Game 1. While I do expect some regression for the Aussie, I don’t expect it to be that much.
