Dallas Mavericks vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Start Time – 3:30 PM EST
It’s nerve-racking, but I’m doing it again on Sunday – I’m going in on a tanking team. More precisely, I’m going in on a tanker on the spread, which has been a profitable play for me this season.
The tanking team in this case is, of course, the Dallas Mavericks, who head to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers. The Mavs are a miserable 8-24 on the road, one of the worst marks in the league. But we don’t need Dallas to win, just cover. My line is Cleveland -13, so the Mavericks plus the points is my play.
Best Bet: Dallas +16.5 (-108)
Portland Trail Blazers vs Philadelphia 76ers
Start Time – 6:00 PM EST
There are no tankers in this matchup, as the Portland Trail Blazers face the Philadelphia 76ers. The Blazers are improved, but still mediocre at best, while the Sixers are beset with injuries (shock).
Yet, I’m going with the home team in this game. Even accounting for all the missing players in my calculations, my line is only Portland -2, so the Sixers plus the points is the way.
Best Bet: Philadelphia +7.5 (+103)
