Daily NBA Player Props – January 20th
Jalen Smith – Over 7.5 Rebounds (-122)
We got this line on Sunday for Jalen Smith and he blew it out of the water with a ten-spot. That was his fifth straight game of surpassing this line and he’s averaging 10.2 in that span. It’s likely listed a touch lower here due to the fact that Josh Giddey could be coming back for this one. Even given that fact, I don’t expect the decline to be that quick. That’s especially true since they face the team that ranks 23rd in rebounding percentage – the Clippers.
Royce O’Neale – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+125)
Phoenix continues to be a team that fires off three-pointers at a crazy rate. They’re shooting more than 40 a game and it’s largely coming from a small handful of people. O’Neale is one of them, and he’s currently tossing up 7.4 attempts per game over his last five. He’s also 6-2 to the over in his last eight games. He faces the 76ers, who have done well at limiting the deep ball, but have slipped off recently a bit.
Jusuf Nurkic – Over 9.5 Rebounds (-114)
Nurkic has been on fire on the boards lately. He’s putting up 13.5 rebounds per game and is 3-1 against this line in the last four games. The only game where he failed to hit this number was against the Spurs, who rank 6th in rebounding percentage and had Victor Wembanyama back on the court. While the Timberwolves are an above average team on the boards, they are not close to what San Antonio brings. As a result, I think we see Nurkic get us another over here.
