NFL Futures Update: Super Bowl LX Odds and Best Bets Before Week 17
New England Patriots (+900)
A lot has been made about the New England Patriots “easy” schedule this year, and it’s valid to point out that it has been an easier schedule. However, the Patriots have shown they have what it takes. Beating the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whooping up on the Bills early in their second game, and showing resiliency late in that one to fight back.
They did it again this last weekend with a comeback against a tough Ravens team. Drake Maye is cool under pressure, Mike Vrabel knows how to win Super Bowls, and the Patriots are just your everyday next-door team that isn’t getting a big head over themselves. Going on the road for the AFC Championship Game? The Patriots are 7-0 on the road, including wins over Buffalo, Tampa Bay, and Baltimore.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+1200)
If you’ve read anything I’ve written this year, you know I’ve been “Jagging off” all season long. I absolutely love this Jacksonville team, and Liam Coen has unlocked Trevor Lawrence’s potential. Lawrence has emerged as an MVP candidate over the last few weeks, slinging the rock around and leading the Jaguars to a huge win in Denver.
Jacksonville is currently on a six-game winning streak, and they’ve won some big games this season in addition to the win over the Broncos last week in Denver. The Jaguars have taken down the healthy Chiefs, Texans, and 49ers. Their one blowout loss was to a strong Rams team leading into the bye. The Jaguars have been a totally different team since the bye. They are a legit threat, and there’s room on the Jag Wagon if you want to hop on!
San Francisco 49ers (+1600)
After a big win on Monday Night Football, the 49ers control their destiny to winning the NFC West, and control their shot at grabbing the #1 seed still. It baffles me that the Rams and Seahawks are the favorites, yet the 49ers, in the same division, looking just as good, are this far down. These boys know how to get to the Super Bowl. They’ve been there a few times before, and this time, those pesky Kansas City Chiefs aren’t standing in their way.
The 49ers have the combination of a great head coach, coordinators, offensive stars, and a great defense. San Francisco hasn’t punted since November! They’ve been a quiet team that simply gets the job done. If you are looking for a team with longer-shot odds that has all the pieces and can get the job done. Look no further.
