Double-digit week numbers are here. It’s hard to believe nine weeks of NFL action are already behind us. We’re on to Week 10. The NFL trade deadline has passed. Some teams are gearing up for playoff runs, while others look toward the future. Week 10 will kick off at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium as the Raiders take on the Broncos. The international series is back with another early Sunday kickoff for us. Let’s dive into Week 10 of the NFL and set our confidence pool picks.
Last week was solid at the very top of our picks, but the Packers’ loss to Carolina killed our perfect high-confidence bracket. We still hit eight of our top 10 picks, and will look to do a little better in Week 10. Only four teams are on bye this week: the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys all get a much-needed break. It’s a tight week, with only two spreads of more than seven points after Thursday night.
The Raiders-Broncos is the Thursday night game; most pools don’t include that game, but we’ll list it in here just in case. Also, the Colts and Falcons game is in Berlin, Germany, with kickoff set for 9:30 AM ET. Make sure to get those picks in early, or before Sunday! The Monday Night Football game should be a thriller as the Philadelphia Eagles head to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
Week 10 NFL Confidence Pool Picks
High Confidence Picks
1.Lions Over Commanders
2.Bills Over Dolphins
3.Broncos Over Raiders
4.Panthers Over Saints
The Detroit Lions fell to the Minnesota Vikings last week in a tough divisional game. They get a chance to bounce back against a Marcus Mariota-led Commander’s team that just looks bad right now. It’s a great bounce-back spot for the Lions as they get back in the win column.
The Dolphins played the Bills tough on Thursday Night Football a few weeks ago, but ultimately lost easily. I’d be surprised if they even hang around this time. Buffalo needs wins, and they’ll be all business on this Miami trip.
If you have that Thursday Night option, I love the Broncos in Week 10. They face the Raiders, who just traded away Jakobi Meyers and have been struggling lately. It’s in Denver, and the Broncos’ defense has been stifling.
The Carolina Panthers are in the high confidence section this week. That alone can be scary, but this team is 5-4 on the year and alive for the NFC South. Bryce Young has been playing well, and they are flying high off a win over the Packers. And, it’s the Saints. That’s all you need to know!
Confident Picks
5.Colts Over Falcons
6.Ravens Over Vikings
7.Bears Over Giants
8.Jaguars Over Texans
9.Rams Over 49ers
The Germany game is an interesting one. The Colts looked beatable last week in Pittsburgh. They made big moves at the trade deadline and went all in. Atlanta has looked fraudulent, even their almost upset of the Patriots last week, they needed a lot of help with. I think we see the Colts back at full strength this weekend, and the Falcons, Falcon.
The Baltimore Ravens have won two games in a row and need to keep that up if they want to be in the playoffs. Going to Minnesota won’t be easy, facing a team that’s riding high off an upset over the Lions. I’m not sold on the McCarthy show just yet, and Baltimore is going to show up with everything on the line. Give me Lamar Jackson in this one.
The New York Giants have been a fun and exciting young team. But this Chicago Bears team is for real. They’ve won five of their last six games and have the Soldier Field home-field advantage this week. Bears roll in this one.
I’m still all aboard the Jaguar train, and them adding Jakobi Meyers at the deadline should be a helpful lift to their offense. They struggled against the Raiders last week, but I can overlook an outlier performance. This week, it’s Davis Mills with CJ Stroud on the shelf. Jaguars pick up the division win.
Rams-49ers is always a tough game to predict. The Rams are just healthier in this game, and they’ve been playing a peak level since their loss to the 49ers a few weeks ago. San Francisco got the best of them in overtime; it’s time for the Rams to get payback.
Toss-Ups
10.Chargers Over Steelers
11.Eagles Over Packers
12.Seahawks Over Cardinals
13.Patriots Over Buccaneers
14.Browns Over Jets
Jim Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin facing off is always fun. This game truly could go either way, but the Steelers are due for a loss as the Chargers return home riding a two-game winning streak.
Game of the week alert! Maybe the Packers were just looking ahead to this game when they lost to Carolina last week, but I still believe Philadelphia is the best team in football. This game will be a good one on Monday night, give me the champs.
How do you pick against Seattle right now? Despite being a team that shouldn’t look this good, they do. The Cardinals are getting a bump with Brissett being the starter for at least the next four weeks. I think the Cardinals cover, but Seattle wins at home.
The Buccaneers are favored at home against the New England Patriots, but I’m going to ride the Patriots’ wave. They’ve looked good under the leadership of MVP candidate Drake Maye. The Buccaneers are still battling a lot of injuries; this should be a thriller. Give me the Patriots to pull off the upset.
Finally, the Browns and the Jets. This game is gross. If I have to pick a side, I’ll take the Browns because even they are better run than the Jets. The Jets also cleaned house at the deadline.
