Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – February 7
Donovan Mitchell – Higher than 26.5 Points
I hit Donovan Mitchell’s higher than 28.5 points on Monday, so of course I’m taking him at a lower number against the – blech – Washington Wizards. Mitchell has topped 26.5 points in two straight games and five of his last six. And Washington can’t stop a nosebleed. I don’t get why this number is set so low – perhaps the thought is Cleveland will blow Washington out early and Mitchell will play limited minutes? Regardless, higher than 26.5 points is the play.
Evan Mobley – Higher than 9.0 Rebounds
Let’s stick with the Cavaliers, and take Mitchell’s teammate Evan Mobley to get into double-digits in rebounding on Wednesday night. He has done so in two straight games (including 14 in his last game) and is averaging 10.2 rpg on the season. This should be a high-scoring game with lots of shots going up, so there will be plenty of opportunities to clean the glass for Mobley.
Jayson Tatum – Higher than 27.5 Points
May as well take advantage of another team that doesn’t play any defense, the Atlanta Hawks, and take Jayson Tatum’s higher than 27.5 points for Wednesday night. Tatum has hit the 28-point mark in three of his last four games and has his season scoring average up to 27.0 ppg. And Atlanta gives up the second-most points in the NBA this season.
