Joel Embiid -Higher than 0.5 Double Doubles
Cmon, seriously?! Joel Embiid has 258 career double-doubles in 394 games – 65% of his games. He’s averaged a double-double every season of his career other than his rookie season. I’m pretty confident the reigning MVP can get to 10 points and 10 boards tomorrow against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Damian Lillard – Higher than 26.5 Points
On the other side of the court from Embiid and the Sixers, I’m expecting a big first night as a Buck for Damian Lillard. And I expect his teammates to be looking to make it a big first night for him as well. The man averaged 32.2 points per game last season. And while he is surrounded by far more talent and isn’t the #1 option on the Bucks, I still see him getting 27 points at least.
Kevin Durant – Higher than 31.5 Points
The Phoenix Suns got off to a winning start to the season on Tuesday despite a 7-22, 18-point stinker from Kevin Durant. KD is going to want to bounce back with a vengeance in Game #2, especially against LeBron James and the Lakers. And with star teammates Devin Booker and Bradley Beal listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game, he’ll have to carry the scoring load.
