Game 5 of the NBA Finals tips off tonight in the Bay Area. The Warriors won Game 4 of the NBA Finals to even up the series 2-2. Steph Curry continued to dominate for the Warriors finished with a series-high 43 points. The Celtics still can not contain Curry and by far has been the best player on the floor. The series shifts back to the Bay Area where the Warriors have been dominating! In fact, the Warriors are 10-1 in the postseason on their home floor. Furthermore, the Warriors are averaging close to 111 points per game at home. The Celtics did defeat the Warriors in Game 1 in San Francisco. However, that was behind an incredible shooting performance in the 4th quarter. In fact, the Celtics knocked down nine three-pointers in that game and outscored the Warriors 40-16. I do not believe that is sustainable for the Celtics. Additionally, role players tend to play better in home games.
We still have not seen a complete offensive performance from the Warriors. As a result, I believe this will be the game the “others” will step up for the Warriors. I still expect Steph Curry to get his points but I expect Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Jordan Poole to have big games. Take the Warriors tonight!
NBA Player Prop: Kevon Looney Over 7.5 Rebounds
The team that has won the rebounding battle has won each of the games so far in the NBA Finals. In fact, Steve Kerr in so many words said the Warriors have to do a better job rebounding. As a result, this will fall on the shoulders of Looney for the Warriors. In Game 4 Looney had nine rebounds at the half and finished the game with 11 rebounds. I expect Looney to play significant minutes here and have the same success rebounding.
