BYU laying 29 is a big number to back, and Ryan Kramer backed it anyway. Omaha visits BYU on Friday, November 6 at 6:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM ET in Provo, UT. BYU was a 29-point favorite when the guys taped on November 4. Ryan, Sean Green and guest Colby Dant sorted it out on the College Basketball Picks: Friday 11/6 & Saturday 11/7 episode.

Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): BYU -29
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Omaha +29
- Colby Dant (@TheColbyD): Omaha +29
The Omaha case came first. One host pointed to BYU’s 60-point second half against Ohio State, then asked what the motivation is to blow out an Omaha team that will play hard for the whole game. He allowed that Provo’s elevation is a factor, but called 29 too many for a competent team and took the points.
Colby agreed and went further. He said he normally likes the team he is about to see in person, but for basketball he wanted to fade the home side. He also admitted this was the game that scared him more, because BYU’s momentum on TV tells him it can run off 30 straight points when a team is not sharp. His answer was that BYU probably gets out to a big lead and Omaha, a proud program in his words, backdoors it. He pointed to Omaha’s tournament trip two years ago and a fourth-place finish in the Summit last year, a record he put at around .500.
Ryan stayed on BYU through all of it. His reply to the Omaha side was a flat “laying it”, and his only caveat was a joke about wanting a good time for everyone at the games Colby makes appearances at.
