The guys opened on the number. They confirmed UConn laying five and a half and asked Colby who he was taking. He said UConn, noting it is basically at UConn. He added that Michigan won by six last year, so there is a revenge angle, and one of the guys said Dan Hurley has a memory for that kind of thing.
The Michigan side did not look great. Michigan trailed Oakland by seven with 8.5 minutes left in its opener before a run, and Oakland covered with ease. The guys noted Michigan shot 7 for 34 from three, which does not matter against Oakland but could against a Hurley UConn team. Michigan also has a very new head coach going up against Hurley.
The crowd came up too. Colby said this is gonna be a hornet’s nest and expected it to feel like playing at UConn, because UConn has the whole territory around Boston. The guys agreed UConn is the team people there root for, and it ended with UConn all day.
