College Football Pick Of The Day (October 27th): NCAA Week 9 Spread Pick

For my Week 9 college football pick of the day today, I’m looking at Wednesday night’s game between Middle Tennessee and Kennesaw State. Middle Tennessee enters at 4-3, 2-1 in conference play, while Kennesaw State is 1-6, 0-3 in conference play. The Blue Raiders are favored by 2.5 points.

Middle Tennessee is on a two-game winning streak after beating Delaware, 33-30, and FIU, 26-23. They’re 3-0 at home, 5-2 against the spread, and perfect ATS when favored by 2.5 or more. The ground game is clicking with Antonio Martin Jr. and Terrence Brown Jr.

Kennesaw State has lost six straight after opening with a win over West Georgia. They’re averaging just 20 points per game with only four passing touchdowns all season. Rickie Collins was benched after two interceptions in their recent 34-6 loss to Liberty. While the Owls have been in several close games earlier, they’ve struggled recently and continue to struggle on the road.

The better team, at home, with the stronger recent momentum and more balanced offense, should be favored by more than three points.

The Pick: Middle Tennessee -2.5
