A home underdog getting more than a touchdown in an SEC game is the kind of number that makes the guys sit up, and Auburn was exactly that. LSU visits Auburn, AL on Saturday, October 24 at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET, and LSU was a 7.5-point favorite with a total of 50.5 when the guys taped on October 20. All three played Auburn +7.5 on the College Football Picks Week 8 episode.

Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Auburn +7.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Auburn +7.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Auburn +7.5
Colby was on Auburn all day. His read is that LSU has beaten nobody with a punch, so there’s no evidence this team can go on the road and win by more than a touchdown. He also put the pressure squarely on LSU: they already have two losses, and a third ends their season, while Auburn has nothing to lose at home.
The table liked the setting as much as the number. Laying 7.5 in a hostile SEC road environment was the sticking point, and the guys pointed to LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt’s eight interceptions on the season as a reason not to trust him in that building. If Auburn ends up plus one or plus two in turnovers, the argument went, the home side might be live on the money line.
There were reservations. Auburn is coming off a win over Georgia, which sets up the classic letdown, and one of the guys noted that the home dog spot was about as obvious as it gets. Nobody flinched off the side, though. They made it seven and a half, so you take Auburn.
