Now THIS is a proper UFC “numbered event” fight card. UFC 333 is a throwback to the good ol’ days, when the UFC cared about its product and its fans. Two title fights headline UFC 333, with a strong undercard leading up to them. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC 333, I’ve got a live dog on the main card. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC 333
UFC 333: Volkanovski vs Evloev
Start Time: 10:00 AM EST
Two fighters who made their names for themselves outside of the UFC – Aaron Pico in Bellator and Losene Keita in Oktagon – meet up in a featherweight bout to kick off Saturday’s main card. And I was pleasantly surprised to see who the underdog was.
That would be the Belgian kickboxer, Keita. Pico has a very clear Achilles’ heel in MMA, which is being susceptible to getting knocked out. Not only is his chin questionable, but his striking defense and awareness are still poor, causing him to get flatlined on shots that he seemed to have no idea were headed his way.
This is a match made in heaven for a guy with Keita’s power and strong grappling defense.
UFC 333 Underdog Pick: Losene Keita ML (+108)
