Los Angeles Kings vs Washington Capitals
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Just like last season, the NHL’s leakiest defenses mostly reside out West. That includes the Los Angeles Kings, whose 4.17 goals allowed per game is third worst in the league.
So we’re adding a Washington Capitals player to kick off our parlay. Let’s make that player Alex Tuch, who leads the Caps in goals (five) and shots on goal (22).
Carolina Hurricanes vs Vancouver Canucks
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
Staying West, but heading due north up to Vancouver, where the Canucks are crummy once again and allow 4.5 goals per game, second most in the NHL (hence why they’re crummy).
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes have the third most potent offense this season, so we’ve got lots of choices for our parlay. I’m going with Jackson Blake again, who is taking tons of shots on goal but has only scored once. His luck is going to improve.
