Anaheim Ducks vs New York Islanders
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
I bet you didn’t know that the tiny hamlet of Elmont, New York, had an NHL hockey team, did you?! The New York Islanders aren’t a particularly amazing hockey team, sitting at 4-3-1 (fourth in the Metropolitan Division), but they are indeed an NHL hockey team.
And I like the pride of Elmont to get the job done tomorrow on their home ice against the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are off to an almost identical start to the season as the Islanders, going 4-3 (fifth in the Pacific Division), which is a bit of a disappointment since they were expected to be better than the Isles this year.
Don’t expect many goals tomorrow night, as both teams are in the league’s top four in goals against. But do expect New York to win. Not only are they at home, where they are 3-1 this season, but this is also the second night of a road back-to-back for Anaheim (the other New York team, the Rangers, spanked them 5-2 on Monday night).
The Islanders on the moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
