College Football Pick Of The Day (October 10th): NCAA Week 6 Total Pick

For today’s college football pick of the day, I’m looking at North Dakota State on the road against UNLV in Las Vegas. It’s the first time these two programs have ever met, and the Bison are laying 2.5 points at Allegiant Stadium.

North Dakota State is 5-0 and has made a seamless jump from an FCS powerhouse to the Mountain West. They’re scoring 33.6 points per game and allowing just 9.8. They have one of the stingiest defenses in the country. The Bison just shut out Wyoming 28-0 last week and held them to just 162 total yards.

UNLV is 3-2 and coming off a 39-31 home win over Cal. The Rebels can score when things click, and Allegiant Stadium is a tough place to play. However, they haven’t played against a defense like this. I think NDSU’s defense will limit their plays, and their championship pedigree from the FCS days will show up in what should be a physical game. UNLV may be dangerous at home, but a good defense travels.

Pick: North Dakota State (-2.5)
