Last week was a clean sweep in this article! We went four for four on player props, and we’ll try to replicate that in an exciting week filled with thrilling games. Saturday is headlined by the Red River Rivalry as Texas and Oklahoma square off. Then, it’s a top 10 matchup as #2 Georgia heads to Tuscaloosa to face #6 Alabama.

Michael Hawkins Jr. Over 105.5 Rushing Yards (-117)

Last week we asked the West Virginia quarterback for just 84 rushing yards against Iowa State. He casually rushed for 149 yards against the Cyclones. Hawkins has had at least 96 yards on the ground in every Mountaineers game this season. This week, they go up against an Arizona Wildcats team that has been stout against the run. Arizona hasn’t seen this running game, though.

Arizona can’t just fully commit to stopping Hawkins rushing game when senior running back Cam Cook has also been lights out. Cook rushed for 142 yards last week, and 192 the week before against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Arizona will limit him as much as they can, but Hawkins is a baller. The Mountaineers need another performance like last week to stay in this game.

Luke Lindenmeyer Over 21.5 Receiving Yards (-116)

Two weeks ago, the Northwestern Wildcats found a matchup they could exploit against the Indiana Hoosiers. Get the ball to your big, contested catch receiver and let him do the work. It worked well as tight end Luke Dehnicke racked up seven catches for a staggering 140 yards.

Nebraska has a 6’3” 255lbs tight end that can fill the same role Dehnicke did two weeks ago. His receiving total is super low, and he could hit this in a catch or two. Lindenmeyer isn’t overly used in this Husker offensive scheme, but he gets work every game and has at least 20 yards in four of their five games this season. Last year, Luke had four games of at least 40 yards, including a 60-yard game against Michigan. You can ladder Lindenmeyer’s yards to 70+ at (+1140), which will be a nice payday if Matt Rhule and Dana Holgerson use this weakness as Northwestern did.

Billy Edwards Jr Over 213.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Last week the Pitt defense gave up 434 passing yards to Ethan Grunkmeyer of the Virginia Tech Hokies. It was the first true passing threat the Panthers had seen, and they couldn’t stop it. The way I see this game playing out, as the Panthers turn to a backup quarterback, is that Bill Belichick is going to be aggressive on defense. That’ll lead to the Pitt defense being on the field more, and that didn’t go well for them last week.

Edwards is an experienced senior quarterback. He’s thrown for at least 209 yards in three of the Tar Heels’ four games this season. As a starter for the Wisconsin Badgers, Edwards routinely crossed this number. I have the Tar Heels walking out of this one with a victory, and Edwards’ arm will be a huge part of that win.

Rocky Beers Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (-121)

For our final player prop, let’s head to one of the biggest games of the weekend, the Red River Rivalry. Oklahoma vs. Texas in the Cotton Bowl for the 122nd time. Oklahoma has lost the last two meetings and will be looking for revenge in this one. I’m focused on Beers for this one. Both the ones in my fridge and the one on the field. Rocky Beers, his parents get an A+ for the name alone. He’s not too bad of a football player either.

Beers, the Senior tight end for the Sooners, has had big days in both of Oklahoma’s big games this season. First, their loss at Michigan, where he had six catches for 94 yards. Then again in Athens, when they played Georgia where he caught the ball eight times for 84 yards. Beers has yet to play against Texas, being a Colorado State transfer. But finished the season with four straight games hitting the over on this number for the Rams last year. He’ll be a big part of their game plan come Saturday.
