Football Pick of the Day (October 6th): NFL Week 5 Prop Bet
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Dallas Cowboys
8:15pm – Thursday – October 8th
The Cowboys are starting to show signs of life. If they are going to do that for real, all of the action is going to be with Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb. So why is it that I like the under for Prescott on Thursday Night Football? The answer has to do with just how bad his opponent is.
Tampa Bay has struggled thus far and still haven’t managed to find a win. Being that they are trailing for the bulk of the game, opposing teams rarely feel like they need to pass the ball down the field with any urgency. As a result, the Buccaneers are 9th in the league in terms of limiting the passing yards. They’ve allowed just 204.3 passing yards per game on the year, which is more than 50 below the projected line here for Prescott.
Additionally, it’s not as if he was blowing this line out of the water this year. This projection is just a single digit away from his season average. Being that the big spots have come in shootouts this year, I expect this one to stay pretty calm for Rayne Dakota.
