Houston Astros vs Seattle Mariners

I’ve made these two plays before this season, betting on two diminutive former MVP winners to hit home runs on the same day. We’ll start with the smallest of the bunch, the Houston Astros’ Jose Altuve.

Altuve has only managed to get 16 balls over the fence this season, but he did hit one out in his last game. Plus, Logan Gilbert is starting for the Seattle Mariners tomorrow, and he is among the league leaders in homers allowed this season, and Altuve has taken him deep twice in his career.

San Diego Padres vs Los Angeles Dodgers

Start Time: 10:10 PM EST

Now it’s off to a battle on the Left Coast, as rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres lock horns. The next little MVP I’m going in on is, of course, the Dodgers Mookie Betts.

Betts has 22 dingers this season, which is his most since 2023, and he has three career homers in only 21 at-bats against tomorrow’s Padres starter Michael King.
