Football Pick of the Day (September 11th): NCAA Spread Bet
Missouri Tigers vs Kansas Jayhawks
8:00pm – Friday – September 11th
Last season, the Jayhawks struggled to throw the football. They ranked 12th in the Big XII in terms of passing yards per game and 79th in FBS. If they were still that team, I would see no reason to get excited about them.
However, they are not that team at all. Isaiah Marshall stepped into the starting QB role as a sophomore and helped the team light up Long Island for 336 yards in the air. Some of that lands on his shoulders, but some should land on the shoulders of the transfer portal. They pulled in Nik McMillan from Buffalo and Nahzae Cox from Middle Tennessee State. The duo combined for 177 of those yards and a touchdown in their first win.
Obviously, Missouri is a much tougher defense that they saw in their opening contest. However, with all that firepower in the air and a more well-rounded game, they should be able to keep this one close.
