What an exciting first couple of weeks College Football has been already! Now, we’re on to the third week of action, aka Week 2. As we do each week in our College Football best bets, we’ll search high and low through each game and try to find the players who stand out most. Here are the top Week 2 player props.
The weekend is chalked full of exciting games. Kansas hosts Missouri as the Border War is back for the second straight year. That game is Friday night under the lights at David Booth Memorial Stadium. Oklahoma at Michigan is one to watch after last week; Arizona visits BYU. Iowa hosts Iowa State as the bitter in-state rivals square off in their yearly matchup. Then Saturday night under the bright lights, it’s Julian Sayin and the #1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes heading to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, where Archie Manning and the #4 Texas Longhorns await them.
Isaiah Marshall Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-105)
Let’s kick off our player props on Friday night with the Kansas Jayhawks young quarterback. He’ll lead the team in front of a raucous crowd at home as Missouri invades in the Border War rivalry. As I wrote about in The Upset Factory, I believe the Jayhawks will win this game. But in order for them to do that, they’ll need a big game from Marshall. Specifically, using his legs.
The sophomore quarterback from Southfield, Michigan, came to Kansas as a 3-star with an excellent arm. He worked in high school at track just to make himself faster, and his feel for the game and ability to run when needed are going to be the difference-maker in this one. Marshall had 160 rushing yards in limited time last year over just 15 carries.
Keelon Russell Over 52.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Let’s stick with rushing quarterbacks as we head to SEC country for a conference matchup. Alabama’s Keelon Russell is almost a sophomore starter who was handed the reins this season. This kid isn’t just any kid, though. Think of all the great players to come through the University of Alabama. Russell is the highest-rated recruit the team has ever seen. That’s the level this kid is on.
It was just ECU they faced last week, but Russell still looked impressive. The way he instinctively ran the ball for 86 yards on 13 carries showed me what I needed to see. Going up against an SEC defense this week means he’ll need to do even more than against a “cupcake” opponent. Russell is a natural runner who makes smart choices. He’ll tuck and run plenty. When he does, the natural athleticism will kick in, and he’ll smash this number.
Jamal Rule Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Freshman running back Jamal Rule looked like a stud for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 1. The team entered the game with a three-headed look, and nobody was quite sure who would see the most action. Rule stole the show and made the most of his debut game in front of the 411th straight sellout game in Lincoln’s Memorial Stadium. He dashed for 122 yards on 15 carries while scoring two touchdowns on the ground. He added another touchdown on one of his two catches for another 47 yards as he showed his top-level ability.
That performance came against the Ohio Bobcats, who aren’t a half-bad team and kept the Huskers in check for the first half of the game. This week, Rule and the Huskers host Bowling Green. Opening up another opportunity for this young running back from Salisbury, North Carolina, to cement himself as the guy.
Julian Sayin Over 249.5 Passing Yards (+100)
Alright, let’s turn our attention to the biggest game of the weekend, and possibly one of the biggest of the season. A #1 vs #4 showdown. All eyes will be on Ohio State vs Texas. And this is a game I expect Julian Sayin to step up in. If he isn’t a household name yet, he will be after this game. Last year, this game was Sayin’s first career start. It could have gone a lot better than it did. He was held to just 13-20 passing for 126 yards. But he’s grown a lot over the last year since that game.
He comes into the matchup as an established starter who threw for 3,610 yards and 32 TDs in 2025. Completing 77% of his passes. He averaged 257.9 passing yards per game last season. The over/under in this game is set right around 50 yards, which should lead to plenty of offensive production. Sayin had no problem passing for over 250 yards against tough defenses last year. In the CFB Playoff game against the Miami Hurricanes, the Big Ten Championship game against Indiana, and in four other Big Ten games.
