Tampa Bay Rays vs Atlanta Braves

Start Time: 12:15 PM EST

What could be a World Series preview goes down tomorrow in the Dirty South, as the Tampa Bay Rays and the Atlanta Braves conclude their three-game series. The Rays are estimated to have a 22% chance of reaching the World Series; the Braves 11%.

Tampa Bay’s dominance over Atlanta is no estimation, however, as the American League visitors have won the first two games of this series, outscoring the home side 14-3 in the process. Now the Rays will look to complete the sweep on getaway day Thursday.

And I think they’ll pull it off. Or at least I’m willing to take a chance on it happening on basically a pick ’em moneyline. The Braves are limping to the finish line, dropping three straight, four of five, and have gone 15-15 over their past 30 heading into Wednesday’s action (which they lost).

With first-time All-Star (at age 36) Nick Martinez starting tomorrow for the visitors, I’m going with Tampa Bay on the moneyline as my best bet for Thursday.
