NASCAR Picks, Odds, and Best Bets: Dollar Tree 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Just two races remain in the “regular season” for the stars of NASCAR’s Cup Series before the beginning of the new Chase era kicks off. Before they head to Daytona next week, they’ve got to tackle the “Magic Mile” of New Hampshire Motor Speedway first. The 1.058-mile flat oval in Loudon, New Hampshire, has been a staple on the Cup Series since 1993. Let’s dive in and take a look at this week’s NASCAR picks, odds, and best bets for the Dollar Tree 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Chase Briscoe, Chase Elliott, and Christoper Bell joined Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Ty Gibbs, and Tyler Reddick as drivers officially locked into this year’s Chase. 50 points currently separate Shane Van Gisbergen in 16th and Ryan Preece in 17th. Van Gisbergen’s Trackhouse teammate Ross Chastain is lingering with a shot at still making it as well. Kevin Harvick was the last driver at New Hampshire to win back-to-back Cup races; he did so in 2018 and 2019. Harvick was also the last Chevrolet driver to win at the track back in 2016 before the now-defunct Stewart-Haas Racing team switched to Ford.

NASCAR Picks, Odds, and Best Bets: Dollar Tree 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Joey Logano Top 5 (-110)

Let’s ride the hot hand here! We’ve had a string of short tracks lately, and Joey Logano has been the man on them. It began at North Wilkesboro Speedway where he laid down an old-school butt whoopin’ on the field, leading 323 laps on his way to victory. The next week was not a short track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but Logano managed a third-place run. A huge day with how the team had been running previously. At Iowa, Logano had a fast car and was leading the strategy that ended up winning the race. Unfortunately, his pit crew had a terrible pit stop, and Logano suffered a 14th-place finish that wasn’t indicative of how they ran. Last week at Richmond, it was back to victory lane for the driver of the #22 Team Penske Ford. Logano cashed out a “car lift” bet on the NASCAR Gambling Podcast.

Now we head to a track at New Hampshire where Logano has run well. In two of the last three races, and four of the last six, Logano has run fifth place or better. Penske has all the power on the short tracks right now, and the three-time Cup Series Champion is getting hot at exactly the right time. Let’s keep riding this streak another week at another short track.

Josh Berry Top 10 (-125)

I’m pretty surprised DraftKings is still offering this number considering he’s as low as -250 on some other books. Overall, Berry can be a tough guy to trust. But he’s given all the signs that he can be trusted this week in New Hampshire. Berry has three straight top-10 finishes, including an eighth last week at Richmond and a fourth-place run at Iowa the weekend before. His two starts here have been lights out. In the #4 for Stewart Haas in 2024, he finished in third place. Last year, in his first season with the Wood Brothers, even after being spun at one point during the race. Berry still managed to finish in second place to quasi teammate Ryan Blaney.

Christoper Bell to Win (+500)

There is no driver I love more this week than Christopher Bell. I’ve also bet him to win the Truck Series race (+950) and parlayed him to win both (+5412). Bell has absolutely loved this track every time he’s been on it. His Truck Series finishes are second and first. He’s four for four at winning in the now O’Reilly Series. Then, in the Cup Series, he has two wins. Was robbed of a win when NASCAR shortened the race in 2021, and looks good every time he is here. With seven second-place finishes this year, it’s time to finally stop being the bridesmaid and be the bride. This is Christopher Bell week; get on board now!
