The Arizona Diamondbacks welcome the lowly Colorado Rockies to the desert tomorrow, and I expect them to be nice hosts and allow a few home runs. That’s because the Snakes are starting Merrill Kelly, who has allowed the (tied for) eighth-most homers this season (23).

And if a Rockie is going to hit a home run, then it’s going to be their catcher, Hunter Goodman. Goodman has 34 on the year, tied for third most in the majors.

Kansas City Royals vs Los Angeles Dodgers

Start Time: 10:10 PM EST

We’re getting a better number on Goodman than on Bobby Witt Jr., despite the Kansas City Royals star only hitting 13 balls out of the park this season. Maybe the bookies know that Witt is due.

And tomorrow is as good a day as any for Witt to break his homer slump, because the Los Angeles Dodgers are starting Eric Lauer, who has allowed 22 homers this season. Plus, Witt has a homer against the lefty in only two career at-bats.
