The Golden State Valkyries have proved that last season’s success – making the playoffs in the franchise’s first year of existence – was no lucky fluke. The Valkyries are even better in Year 2, with their 23-9 win-loss record and advanced stat rating trailing only the Minnesota Lynx. So much for the sophomore slump.
If all that wasn’t daunting enough for the visiting Chicago Sky tomorrow night, add in the fact that Golden State’s 13-4 mark at the Chase Center is the best home record in the W. Plus, it looks like the Sky will continue to be without leading scorer Sydney Taylor (questionable to play) and all-around threat Skylar Diggans (definitely out).
So, ya, I’m betting on the Golden State Valkyries to win tomorrow night. After crunching the pertinent numbers and adding in the injured players, I’ve come up with the line of Golden State -13.5, making the Valkyries on the spread my best bet on Wednesday. Here’s to the start of another heater.
