Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays
Start Time: 7:07 PM EST
The hottest team in baseball, the Boston Red Sox, heads north of the border tomorrow to start a series against their American League East rivals, the Toronto Blue Jays. No one will mistake the Jays as a hot team this season, but they do hold a 6-3 season record against the Red Sox.
But maybe, just maybe, Toronto is running into Boston at a good time? After their blazing run (9-1, 16-4, 26-4 heading into Sunday’s action), the Sox dropped games to the lowly Athletics on Saturday and Sunday. Not a good look.
Then again, this is the 2026 Blue Jays we’re talking about – not a good team. Plus, they start newly acquired Jameson Taillon tomorrow, he of a 5.96 ERA and 26 home runs allowed, tied for third most in the majors this season.
So Boston starter Sonny Gray and his league-best 14 wins look good to me tomorrow on the road in Canada. Boston on the moneyline is my best bet to kick off the week.
