Detroit Tigers vs San Francisco Giants

The Detroit Tigers may have seemingly punted on their season after trading away multi-time Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal at the trade deadline, but they still have a projected 35% chance to make the playoffs. And the advanced stats love them, ranking them as the seventh-best team in the majors. Maybe all is not lost in Motown.
Plus, can I sell you on the argument that the real ace of their staff is/was not Skubal, but instead the 25-year-old righty starting for them tomorrow in San Francisco when they face the Giants? Ok, it’s a bit of a stretch, but the aforementioned starter, Troy Melton, is having one hell of a season for the Tigers. The second-year pitcher leads the pitching staff in WAR, has a 1.58 ERA, a 0.905 WHIP, and most importantly to our bet, a 7-1 win-loss record. Plus, Melton hasn’t allowed an earned run in his last two starts (14 innings).
This all makes the Detroit Tigers on a very playable moneyline my best bet to end the weekend with another winner.
