UFC Fight Nights at the Meta APEX are getting increasingly rare, thankfully, so much so that I forgot which event number we’re up to this coming weekend (120). But make no mistake about it – this Saturday’s event is definitely APEX slop. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 120, I’ve got your winner for Saturday’s main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 120
UFC Fight Night: Gamrot vs Salkilld (aka UFC Vegas 120)
Main Card Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Saturday’s main event is interesting and meaningful, at least, with #6 lightweight Mateusz Gamrot going up against #9 Quillan Salkilld. A veteran, Poland’s Gamrot, trying to hold his place in the rankings against the up-and-coming Aussie, Salkilld.
And you know how I roll – you’ve got to side with the younger fighter in Salkilld. Not only younger but the much better and more dangerous striker with a five-inch reach advantage to work with. And if Gamrot looks to lean into his strong wrestling, Salkilld has that in spades as well, offensively and defensively.
This will be a big step-up in competition for the 12-1, 26-year-old Salkilld, but a reasonable one, and one that I think he can pass with flying colors.
