Los Angeles Sparks vs Portland Fire

My best bet on Thursday took place in Portland’s Moda Center, as well, as the visiting Dallas Wings covered the spread against the Portland Fire. Having dropped four straight games, the expansion Fire are in desperate need of a W, and soon.
Lucky for them, a team more on their level is in town tomorrow, the Los Angeles Sparks. The Sparks are on an even worse run than the Fire lately, losing six straight games, putting Los Angeles in a virtual tie with Portland in the league standings (10-17 vs 11-18).
The good news for the visitors is superstar Kelsey Plum will finally return to action tomorrow after missing 15 games this season. The bad news is she’ll be coming off the bench on a minutes restriction (and she may be traded at any moment).
After doing all the number crunching, I’m lining the Portland Fire up as a slight favorite tomorrow on the spread – 2.5 points, to be exact. So I’ll gladly take the Fire plus the points as my best bet for Sunday.
