NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview for Sunday, July 12th
Phoenix Suns vs New Orleans Pelicans
Start Time – 3:00 PM EST
We’ll start with the first game on the slate for Sunday, where the Phoenix Suns enter action against the New Orleans Pelicans a perfect 1-0 in the desert. Sure, it’s just one game, but Suns rookie Koa Peat and last year’s lottery pick Khaman Maluach both played well against the Portland Trail Blazers.
I’m going with the Suns to take care of the 1-1 Pelicans and their inferior roster.
Best Bet: Phoenix -4.5 (-110)
Sacramento Kings vs Washington Wizards
Start Time – 8:00 PM EST
Two more 1-0 teams go at it later in the day, as the Sacramento Kings face the Washington Wizards. This will be a battle between the #7 pick, the Kings’ Darius Acuff Jr., and #1 pick, AJ Dybantsa of the Wizards.
Dybantsa was dynamite in his debut, scoring 27 points and adding seven boards. Teaming up with veterans Tre Johnson (26 points) and Will Riley (18 points), the Wiz look like they’ll be a tough out in Las Vegas. I really like the spread and the number we’re getting on the Wizards tomorrow.
Best Bet: Washington -1.5 (-105)
